The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a 

Full Professorship (W3) for Theoretical Particle Physics with focus on Phenomenology

in the Department of Physics to be filled as soon as possible. This professorship is particularly suitable for highly qualified early career researchers.

The professor should have excellent international visibility in the field of theoretical particle physics. The successful candidate should complement the existing theory expertise in precision physics with topics in the area of phenomenology at particle accelerators, e.g., physics beyond the Standard Model. The candidate is expected to contribute to the general teaching activities of theoretical physics, the subject-specific education of theoretical particle physics as well as to supervise bachelor, master and PhD theses.

Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
